Indivisible Charlotte and its organizing partners are planning events across the Charlotte area. These will include mass get out the vote efforts, strolls to the polls, pop up visibility events, voter education and engagement opportunities at each location.
There will NOT be a mass march or a single large event.
Visit our www.NoKingsCLT.com website to see all of the Charlotte events. Please join one or more of these public No Kings: Vote Early events. (All No Kings Vote early Charlotte event addresses are listed on the NoKingsCLT.com site.)
WANT TO DO MORE? You can create your own private event. Are you part of a book club, pickleball team, faith organization, run club, gamer group, or any other social network? This is YOUR time to create an event that ensures that everyone votes early.
Be creative! Meet at an early voting site, vote and go out for coffee/ice cream. Host a backyard party to encourage neighbors to vote. Families with kids? Pull out the red, white, and blue swag, dress up and have a mini-parade to the polling place – from the far end of the parking lot to the door! Here’s a list of creative ideas for inspiration.
DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT!
Make a plan to vote early AND activate others to do the same.
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
