This No Kings event will be distributed around the valley (just like last time). Join us as we bike from location to location in the midtown/downtown area with [3×5′ VOTE flags](https://flagsforgood.com/collections/voting-elections/products/vote-flag?variant=40478723375262) waving as we ride. (Or whatever flag you wish to bring, but the linked one is great!)
We’ll stage at the NE corner of 7th Ave & Osborn (empty shoe store), starting around 8:30 and departing at 9:00 am sharp. **The route is still being determined as more events come online.** And we’ll probably get snacks at Mi Patio, just across the street, when we’re concluded.
Here’s how I secure the flag on my e-bike, which I ride at least 4 times a week to get to RhRRs:
* Two [u-bolts](https://www.acehardware.com/departments/hardware/nuts-and-bolts/u-bolts) to hold the PVC pipe to the bike frame
* 1-inch PVC pipe (24″ bolted to the bike frame, another 48″ used as the flag pole, w/ coupler between)
* [Eye bolt](https://www.acehardware.com/departments/hardware/nuts-and-bolts/eyebolts/51587) to secure the top of the flag to the PVC pipe
* Zip ties to secure the flag to the eye bolt, and another to make a sort of loop for the flag bottom
# Who’s the host?
Me. I’m Evo. I help organize [Rush-hour Resistance Rally](https://rhrr.us), a series of valley-wide rallies that take place during rush hours every Monday–Friday. Join me!
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
