OCTOBER 17th is NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY, a National Day of Action that calls all democracy defenders to join in non-partisan local events emphasizing the urgent need for our communities to VOTE EARLY.
Join Woodlake Resistance on the CA-160/Canterbury Road Overpass, where we will stand in solidarity to encourage our fellow Sacramentans to show their power by voting early.
Overpass messages/banners will be provided, as will a limited number of flags. Please bring friends, and bring VOTE or VOTE EARLY-themed message signs to face street traffic in the area.
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY is a peaceful action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at this event. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
