Now’s your chance to Protect the Vote and help create a voting tsunami in November!!! No Kings: Vote Early!
Bring a picnic lunch, a chair, your ballot and friends to McKinley Park on Saturday Oct. 17 from 10 am – 12 pm. We’ll meet under the trees by H Street between Alhambra and 33rd. Information will be available about the CA propositions, our local elections, how we can protect the polls and our right to vote. Once we complete our ballots we will walk as a group to the drop box at McKinley Library to deposit our ballots. We’ll video the event so we can all share it on our social media accounts.
And, for anyone not yet registered to vote, there will be opportunities to register to vote, and then Vote EARLY!
Following the event you will be armed with information about the propositions, how to check your voting status on Vote.org, and you can reach out to neighbors and friends to help them make a plan to vote! And they can VOTE EARLY too!
We can amplify our vote by sharing the message with 10 friends or neighbors, and they can each share with 10 friends. Our vote is our voice. HEAR US ROAR!!!!
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events.
