Capes On! Ballots In! Odenton No Kings Sign Wave

Where: Route 175 (Annapolis Road) and Gateway Boulevard

No Kings. Just Voters.

Voting is your superpower, and voting early amplifies that power. Early voting in Maryland starts Thursday, October 22. Before then, we want every eligible voter in our community to have a plan in place.

Join us from 11 am to 1 pm on Annapolis Road at Gateway Boulevard (near Patient First) for our No Kings: Vote Early sign wave. Since voting is our superpower, we encourage you to dress the part. Wear a cape (award for best cape!) and bring a sign, or make one with us at the Odenton Library beforehand (10 am to 11:45 am). Come show Odenton you’re pledging to vote early and tell your neighbors why voting matters to you.

After a year of showing up in the streets, meeting like-minded neighbors, and strengthening our community ties, it’s time for our next step. Right now, efforts are underway to undermine trust in our elections and make it harder for people to be heard. Our democracy depends on every eligible voter taking part free of intimidation, interference, or barriers.

In America, the people choose their leaders. No one person, no institution, and no political party gets to decide our future before voters do.

Early voting runs October 22–29, 7 am to 8 pm, and Election Day is November 3.

This is a nonpartisan event, and everyone is welcome.

Our Commitment to Nonviolence & Nonpartisanship
Nonviolent, people-led movements are the most successful path to real change. Every No Kings event is grounded in that commitment: organizers trained in de-escalation, safety coordinators on site, and actions that are lawful, disciplined, and rooted in the strength of our communities.

“No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.”
