Join us in Madison, Indiana, on October 17 for No Kings: Vote Early, a peaceful, nonpartisan community gathering focused on turning civic engagement into voter participation.
During this event, community members will come together to celebrate democracy, encourage early voting, and help eligible voters understand their voting options. Participants will have the opportunity to:
Learn about early voting dates, locations, and voting requirements in Jefferson County.
Access nonpartisan voter resources and information about how to make a voting plan.
Connect with neighbors who believe in civic engagement, government accountability, and the importance of every voice being heard.
Participate in a peaceful public gathering with signs and messages celebrating democracy and the principle that power belongs to the people.
Our goal is to encourage every eligible voter, regardless of political affiliation, to participate in the democratic process and make their voice heard at the ballot box.
This event will remain peaceful, lawful, inclusive, and nonpartisan. Participants are expected to follow the No Kings commitment to nonviolence, de-escalation, and respectful civic participation. No weapons will be permitted.

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
