[No Kings: Vote Early – Centennial
We the people deserve a thriving future.
We decide who represents us.
We decide what comes next.
We hope you will join us for this special No Kings rally at this pivotal time in our nation’s history. This rally is how we encourage others to have the hope and knowledge they need to know that their vote matters and to spur them to vote early and send a strong message to our elected officials.
Signs – While you are welcome to express your speech freely, we encourage signs this time to be focused on electoral power – encouraging people to vote early, making a sign that informs voters (for example, about ballot issues), or even thanking people for voting or asking if they have voted yet.
Costumes – Consider yourself an unofficial member of the Justice League! We are encouraging anyone who would like to wear a costume (think superheroes, figures from history, voting inspired costumes) to wear one. This is optional, but a fun way to differentiate this from prior events and capture attention.
Voter power – Have ballot questions or need help distinguishing heroes from villains? We will have resources at the event to help you be an informed voter and encourage others to vote.
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
