OCTOBER 17th is NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY, a National Day of Action that calls all democracy defenders to join in non-partisan local events emphasizing the urgent need for our communities to VOTE EARLY.
Join the EAST SAC BANNER BRIGADE, co-hosted by Hear Our Voice, on the Hwy 50/48th Street Overpass, where we will stand in solidarity to encourage our fellow Sacramentans to show their power by voting early.
Overpass messages/banners will be provided, as will a limited number of flags and waving hands. Please bring friends, and bring VOTE or VOTE EARLY-themed message signs to face street traffic in the area. In the event of large participation, overflow protestors will be asked to locate a block away at the intersection of 48th Street and Folsom Blvd.
As a courtesy to local neighbors, please plan to walk, ride bikes, ride lightrail, or decentralize parking by using different streets throughout the Elmhurst and Folsom Blvd areas, so as to not burden any one residential street.
FYI-The closest Early Ballot Drop Box is located at McKinley Park Library, 601 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, 95816, 1.9 miles from this location. Bring your ballot and stop by there after the event. Early Voting is available from 10a-6p on Saturday.
As with all East Sac Banner and Hear Our Voice-sponsored events, NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY is a peaceful action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at this event. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
