No Kings Memphis: Party to the Polls is coming on Oct. 17, 1-3 PM.
For the last year the No Kings coalition has mobilized millions of people to send a clear message: In America, we have NO KINGS. Now it’s time to take the next step as election day approaches.
Efforts to undermine trust in our elections and make it harder for people to be heard are happening across the country right now. Our democracy depends on every eligible voter having the freedom to participate without intimidation, interference, or barriers.
You’ve come out for the rallies and the protests, now it’s time to come out and ensure we make it to the polls.
No Kings Memphis: Party to the Polls is a family-friendly, community-focused event designed to share the information and resources you need to vote confidently and early!
We’re bringing together the organizations already doing the work to help Memphis get to the polls: voter registration and engagement groups, Know Your Voting Rights info, election protection resources, and more.
Come out and get your voting questions answered. Find out what resources are available to help your friends, family, and neighbors to get out to the polls. Learn how you can get involved and volunteer. Be in community with each other.
No Kings Memphis: Party to the Polls is a non-partisan, non-campaigning event. It is not a protest, march, or rally. It’s an opportunity to use the No Kings platform in a different way: to put the power of our votes at the center.
It is time to turn our collective energy into action. Democracy depends on US to protect it. Let’s come together on October 17 and ensure we funnel folks straight to the voting booth.
More details will be released as plans are finalized so STAY TUNED!
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
