About this engagement

No Kings: Vote Early! Annandale, VA, I-495 Bridge Brigade

**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.

Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.

Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.

*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*

In America, we have no kings. Power belongs to the people—and that power starts right in our own neighborhoods, at the ballot box.

On Saturday, October 17, Chelmsford Connected is bringing our community together for No Kings: Vote Early, a morning dedicated to nonpartisan voter education, community connection, and active participation.

This isn’t simply a rally; it’s a celebration of local civic power. We are turning our collective energy into voter action by ensuring every neighbor understands their options, knows how to navigate voting resources, and has a concrete plan to cast their ballot early.

What to Expect:

Community Voices & Perspectives: Short, meaningful reflections exploring the history of voting rights, the suffragist movement, veterans’ voting access, and the experiences of newly naturalized citizens claiming their voice in democracy.

Music & Connection: Songs of solidarity, power, and hope to lift our spirits and ground our purpose.

Accessible Voter Resources: Plain-language guides and quick QR-code resources covering early voting dates, mail-in ballots, registration status, and how to help protect the vote.

Plus-One Commitment: An invitation for every participant to commit to helping at least one friend, family member, or neighbor make their early voting plan.

Whether you are a seasoned voter, someone navigating the process for the first time, or just looking to connect with neighbors who care about the future of our democracy, you are welcome here.

Bring your family, bring a neighbor, and let’s show what community looks like when we show up for one another.

In solidarity,

Chelmsford Connected

*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
