Think this midterm election isn’t important in Virginia? THINK AGAIN!
Look what’s on the ballot!
Question 1: Reproductive Freedom Amendment
Adds a fundamental right to reproductive freedom—covering contraception, abortion, and prenatal care—to the state constitution, while permitting third-trimester regulations with health and life exceptions.
Question 2: Marriage Equality Amendment
Removes the constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, affirming that adults may marry regardless of sex, gender, or race with equal legal treatment.
Question 3: Voting Rights Restoration Amendment
Establishes a fundamental right to vote, automatically restoring voting rights upon release from incarceration for felony convictions, and narrows court-ordered voting restrictions regarding mental capacity.
Norfolk City
Shall the City of Norfolk, Virginia, add an additional local general retail sales tax that does not exceed one percent (1%) and that expires on June 30, 2046, in order to provide revenue that is used solely for capital projects for the new construction or major renovation of schools serving the City of Norfolk?
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
On October 17th, we are bringing *our community* together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard. Join us in Norfolk, Virginia, as we get out the early vote and say it loud:
**NO THRONES, NO CROWNS, NO KINGS!**
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
