On October 17, following our [NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY HONK & WAVE](https://www.mobilize.us/somaaction/event/1031105/) in downtown South Orange, SOMA ACTION is heading to Summit to knock doors and Get Out the Early VOTE for Rebecca Bennett — and to send Tom Kean, Jr. packing!
NJ-7 is one of the most critical House races in the entire country and we need boots on the ground to turn out her supporters so we can take back the House!
New to canvassing? No problem! We’ll pair you with someone experienced. Meet up at 1:30 pm in Spiotta Park to carpool! We’ll canvass from 2-3:30 pm and be back in plenty of time to make it to our annual NIGHT OF FUN 10th anniversary bash!
Parking in S. Orange:
Neighborhood parking is available in the SOPAC lot, the NJ Transit lot on Sloane Street, and the Scotland Road lot next to Felina Steak off S. Orange Ave. These lots are metered.
Additional free parking a little farther afield (5-10 minute walk from Spiotta) is available on neighboring side streets east of Valley and adjacent to Scotland Road, as well as the SOMS school lot.
Please consider carpooling, walking, biking or ride-sharing.
