NO KINGS presents an informational booth with literature and general information about the upcoming MA and national election and our 9 ballot questions. GET THE FACTS – VOTE EARLY!
LOCATION: Tennis Courts on Stacy Blvd. (also at other locations around Rockport and Gloucester)
TIME: Noon – 3:00 PM Saturday, October 17th
The gathering is based on a core principle that we, the people, decide who represents us. Not billionaires and not corporations looking for tax breaks and environmental deregulation.
For more than a year, millions of people have come together across the country and the world to reject the idea that power belongs to billionaires, or politicians who believe they should be free to operate above the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous NO KINGS actions, NO KINGS: JUST VOTE is not intended as a protest rally. But if you want to learn what you can do to get out the vote here or elsewhere, please stop by.
October 17th, is a day of nonpartisan voter participation: bringing Gloucester and neighboring communities together to make a plan to get OUT THE VOTE – ensuring all eligible voters understand the issues, their options for how to vote and have the opportunity to make their voices heard.
Join us at the Stacy Blvd. tennis courts, Gloucester, as we discuss our ballot options and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
PARKING: parking is limited as the Stage Fort Park area is reserved for a Halloween gathering. So, please try to walk, carpool, use public transit or take a rideshare if you plan to join us. We look forward to meeting many of you!
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
