We will be gathering in front of the Josephine County courthouse for a protest. Make a plan to vote early. This is a time for solidarity and making your voice heard. I look forward to seeing you there.
Because ballots will have gone out by the time this event begins, it is imperative that no one interferes with people casting their votes in the ballot boxes at the court house. The requirement to stay 100’ away from ballot boxes does not apply to protests and doubly does not apply because this event is outside of business hours.
Use good judgment.
There is another No Kings event taking place simultaneously at Riverside Park. Check Rogue Indivisible for details.
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Like previous No Kings actions, this is a protest.
On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
