Join Solidarity Warriors and Colorado Bridge Trolls for another epic overpass protest on THREE consecutive bridges over I-70 to reinforce our Vote Early messaging! 🧌 We’ll blanket Steele St, Cook St, and E 46th Ave bridges with banners including “A Landslide Starts With You!”, “The Future Is On The Ballot”, and “Friends Don’t Let Friends Skip Elections.”
Park in the lot just north of Cook St and E 46th N Ave (don’t forget the N!) Use 4530 Cook St, Denver, CO 80216 for GPS to get to the area, then go north on Cook St across I-70 to park.
We’ll have free burritos 🌯 from Illegal Pete’s and will fill the bridge with solidarity, music, dancing, and coordinated visuals so our words of encouragement can’t be ignored.
Joy is resistance! ✨💃🕺This is a visible, peaceful, high-energy action designed to cut through the noise and encourage people to vote and vote early.
What to expect: • Peaceful, highly visible, overpass protest ✊We’ll bring banners and letters large enough to be seen from the highway. • Music, dancing, and community energy 🎶💃🕺 • Creativity, joy, and unapologetic accountability 🔥
This action is about visibility, collective power, and celebrating joy while encouraging people to get out and vote.
What to bring: • Signs and banners (big, readable, weather-ready) 🪧 • Costumes encouraged! (But not required) 🐸 • Layers for the weather 🧥 • Your people 🫂
*Music will be playing from speakers along the bridge. If it’s too loud where you are, just step a bit down the bridge—the sound doesn’t travel far.
