About this engagement

No Kings: Vote Early! Annandale, VA, I-495 Bridge Brigade

Join us to encourage early voting!

Stockpiling the early vote is a powerful form of election protection. On NO KINGS Day, October 17th, we’ll spread the message that everyone needs to make a plan to vote early and ensure every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote.

Indivisible ReSisters Contra Costa has a full day of events and activities for you and your family and friends. Start with the Concord “Launch Party” in the morning and then attend the rally in Pleasant Hill in the afternoon.

LAUNCH PARTY MENU:

Decorate your car to make it a mobile “VOTE EARLY” billboard. Write messages encouraging people to vote. Think swim team / high school graduating senior type car ‘decorating’. We’ll provide the (washable) paints.

Practice for the Vote Early Flash Mob to the Beatles’ “Revolution”! The steps are very basic and you’ll have two opportunities for “freestyle.” There will be at least one “dancing ballot drop box” in the dance crew! Plan to show off your dance moves at the Pleasant Hill rally that afternoon.

Grab your choice of supplies and choose ways you want to start spreading the message in your neighborhood:

Be part of the IRCC Chalk Brigade – Choose a trail. Choose a park. Bring your chalk. Write “Vote Early” or “Every Vote Counts” and add art throughout our area. We’ll be providing chalk for people to write Get Out The Vote (GOTV) type messages EVERYWHERE – at playgrounds, on trails and other high foot traffic areas they can identify. Have fun and get kids and young parents to join in.

“Rock the Vote” bags with rocks, red, white and blue paint, and paint brushes for people to paint Get Out The Vote messages and then leave around their neighborhoods, on trails, in parks, along sidewalks.

Pick up Voter Information flyers at the IRCC info table to hand out in your neighborhood, to friends or at grocery stores.
