VOTER TURNOUT in Texas out starts with us! On Oct 17, millions will rise up to defend our right to vote and to encourage the largest early vote mobilization in history. But first… tacos!
Indivisible TX-24 is hosting a breakfast taco event to give you a full slate of resources and information for you to promote Early Voting! Saturday / October 17 / 9:30am to 11am / Grapevine / RSVP required
Our democracy needs good messengers to step up and amplify the cause. We’ll have actionable, nonpartisan information you can take with you and share with your neighbors, family, friends — anyone in your community — to encourage Early Voting. Where to vote early, what to bring to vote, how to catch a ride to the polls, and what to do if an eligible voter is turned away at the polls. We’ll have handouts you can easily share, information on how to volunteer for Election Protection, phone banks, visibility events, and rapid response actions. We’ll have free buttons — plus No Kings:Vote Early t-shirts will be available for purchase.
All our previous No Kings events showed the strength of people standing together and rejecting abuses of power. Now *No Kings:Vote Early* is all of us using our local No Kings movement to mobilize the largest mass nonpartisan campaign to Get Out The Early Vote. Join us and fuel up for the fight with some breakfast tacos and exchange of ideas, tactics and information. This is an open event but RSVP is required due to venue capacity. The location will be sent to you after RSVP. Event is October 17 from 9:30am to 11am in Grapevine.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
