About this engagement

No Kings: Vote Early! Annandale, VA, I-495 Bridge Brigade

Before we gather at 11:00 for our No Kings Sign Wave event, let us help you make a voting plan! Stop by the Odenton Library any time between 10:00 am and 11:45 am. Trained volunteers will help you check your registration, answer your questions, and help you work out your plan: when, where, and how you’ll vote.

Early voting runs October 22–29, 7 am to 8 pm. If you’d rather vote by mail, we can help you request a ballot before the October 27 deadline.

Missed the registration deadline? You still have options. In Maryland you can register in person (with proof of where you live) during early voting. We’ll show you how.

While you’re there, make a sign for our sign wave at 11. We’ll have supplies, but bringing a poster board would be helpful!

Odenton families are feeling it at the grocery store, at the gas pump, and in every electric bill. Those in power make the decisions that directly affect us, and elections decide who holds that power. Voting early locks in your voice days ahead of time. It also gives you room to fix anything that goes wrong, like a signature mismatch, a missing form, or a shift that runs late on Election Day.

And it’s not just about who you vote for: voting early in large numbers also sends a strong message that Americans still care about voting and about democracy.

This is a nonpartisan event, and every eligible voter is welcome.

Our Commitment to Nonviolence & Nonpartisanship
Nonviolent, people-led movements are the most successful path to real change. Every No Kings event is grounded in that commitment: organizers trained in de-escalation, safety coordinators on site, and actions that are lawful, disciplined, and rooted in the strength of our communities.

“No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.”
