About this engagement

No Kings: Vote Early! Annandale, VA, I-495 Bridge Brigade

Join fellow Granby MA residents in a celebration of our right to vote!
Let’s be DAY ONE voters! We want everyone in town to know that early voting starts on October 17th and that voting early is safe, effective, and a vital way to help protect our votes!

We will meet “On The Common” at 8:45AM. At 9:15AM, we will march as a group to the early vote polling place located at the Carnegie building, aka “the old library,” where we will get in line to vote!

Since this is a NONPARTISAN community event there are important guidelines that everyone involved must follow. There will be NO SIGNS allowed. If you would like to hold something, as we gather and march, you may carry an American flag. Not only is this a national nonpartisan event, but any signs or politicking is not allowed near a polling station. Please do not bring any signs to this event!

The Church of Christ Congregation has generously allowed us to assemble on the Common and use their parking areas for this event. Please thank them and honor their spirit of community by respecting their property and the guidelines stated above.

We will have voter information available, such as registration, deadlines and ballot questions.

Our goal is to come together as a community, no matter who or what you vote for! Everyone is welcome! Let’s use our people power to make our voices heard by voting in massive numbers this Election season!

**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.

Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.

Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.

*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*

*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
