_Here’s what we’ve done:_ Down Jersey Coalition has created a **NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY** flyer full of important information for NJ voters.
_Here’s what we hope you’ll do:_ Please join us in our **MASS DISTRIBUTION** of this important voter information across Millville! Gather a friend or a few friends in your car, stop by our Millville meeting location “hub” to pick up a stack of **NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY** flyers on Saturday, October 17th, pick a Millville area destination (a festival, a neighborhood, a shopping center, a sporting event, or elsewhere) and head out together to distribute the flyers to the people you meet, your friends, your neighbors! Help spread the word that the election is ahead and it’s important to make a plan to vote! This year, it is particularly important to try to get your vote in early!
_OPTIONAL:_ Once your flyers are distributed, consider stopping at an intersection with your *NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY* signs, flags, and noisemakers to spread the word to those passing by. Want to dress like a frog or something else? You do you!
In Millville, we will have two flyer distribution shifts, as follows:
SHIFT 1: 10-12:30 (the LAST half hour is spent with others at the “hub”, sharing your stories and getting to know like-minded people.
SHIFT 2: 12-2:30 (the FIRST half hour is spent with others at the “hub”, hearing stories from the first shift and getting to know like-minded people.)
*IMPORTANT:*
_Exactly where will you distribute flyers?_ When you arrive at the “hub”, you can tell us where you want to go, or we can help you decide so there won’t be overlap.
_Does my friend have to sign up?_ Yes. Please be sure EVERY person in your group signs up separately on mobilize. We will print and distribute flyers based on the number of participants who sign up on mobilize. Contact the host to make other arrangements.
*Additional notes:*
– Participants attend at their own risk. Always keep safety in mind.
– Local and national organizers are not responsible for personal injury or property damage.
– While this event is adjacent to a local retailer, the retailer is not a sponsor of this event.
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power.
**Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing Millville and its surrounding townships together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.**
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.* _Please, no partisan or candidate campaign materials._
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
