### Join Food & Water Action for No Kings Early Vote on October 17th to talk with our neighbors about Iowa’s water crisis!
Iowa has _the fastest-rising cancer rates in the country._ We know this is linked to pollution from industrial agriculture that flows into our waterways.
Right before the No Kings rally in Des Moines, join us to talk to our neighbors and share information about keeping our water safe, _starting with electing candidates like Chris Jones for Ag Secretary,_ who will hold polluters accountable and clean up Iowa’s water!
We will meet at _Colby Park_ at noon for a brief training session on how to have effective conversations.
Then, we will pair up and head out!
At 3:00 PM, we will meet back up at Colby Park to debrief. You are welcome to stay afterwards to join the No Kings event, which includes live music, speakers, food trucks and more from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM.
**No prior experience canvassing is needed!**
We use the website OpenField to track our conversations, so please bring a fully charged phone. We’ll spend some time during the training familiarizing ourselves with OpenField.
