Let’s celebrate early voting together!
Join us for food trucks, live music, car decorating, and a design contest, then we all roll out together in a parade to the ballot drop box at Surprise City Hall. Everyone’s welcome, whether you’ve already voted or not.
Join your early voting friends on Saturday, October 17, from 10am to 1pm in Surprise for a morning of food, music, and community. Everyone’s welcome, whether you’ve already voted or you’re bringing your ballot with you.
**Start the morning at a sidewalk rally**
Before the party, we’re lining two busy roads to remind CD-8 that early voting is open. Pick the one closest to you:
– [Surprise: Bell Road and Civic Center Drive](https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1028354/), [time]
– [North Phoenix: Happy Valley Road at Norterra](https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1028416/), [time]
Holding a sign at Bell Road and Civic Center Drive? When the rally wraps up, head straight over. Coming from North Phoenix? We’d love to see you too.
**Here’s what’s happening at the party**
– Food trucks.
– Live music.
– Car decorating. Deck out your ride for the parade. We’ll have limited supplies, so bring your own if you can.
– Design contest. Show us your best t-shirt, sign, and vehicle. Keep entries values-based but nonpartisan: no candidate names, party names, or ballot measures.
Parade to the ballot box. To wrap up the party, we’ll all line up and drive together to the ballot drop box at Surprise City Hall. Already voted? Join the parade anyway. Still have your ballot? Drop it off with us.
**What to bring**
Your completed early ballot if you haven’t turned it in yet, your car, and your neighbors.
This is a nonpartisan event. Please leave candidate names, party names, and ballot measures off your shirts, signs, and vehicles.
No kings. Just voters. See you on the 17th!
No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
