About this engagement

No Kings: Vote Early! Annandale, VA, I-495 Bridge Brigade

About this event:
The Pro-Active Alliance, in conjunction with other Wasatch Back pro-democracy organizations, is sponsoring No Kings: Vote Early on October 17th.

We’ll gather at the pedestrian bridge over I-80 off Landmark Drive (near Whole Foods) at 10:00 am. We’ll make signs, celebrate our right to vote, and we’ll have a message on the bridge that encourages passers-by to vote early.

At 11:00 we’ll march to the ballot drop box at the Sheldon Richins Building (Summit County Library — Kimball Junction Branch), 1885 W. Ute Blvd., to
cast our votes.

Ballots will be mailed to voters starting October 13. That means by October 17, many Summit County voters will have their ballots in hand — and the goal of this event is simple:
Bring your ballot. Drop your ballot. Vote that day.

Check your voter registration now at vote.utah.gov to make sure your information is correct and your registration is active!

Parking is available at the Kimball Junction Transit Center, the PEAK Center and in nearby retail centers. Taking public transportation is encouraged!

This is not a rally where we tell people to vote “someday”. This is a day where thousands of us literally cast our ballots together by marching them to the drop box as a public, visible, joyful act of collective participation. It’s a celebration, an orientation, and an activation all at once!

We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. No Kings: Vote Early on October 17th is a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.

*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
