Please join us in Exeter for our No Kings march, rally, and visibility! Come with your signs and your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors to protest Trump’s efforts at dictatorial rule (No Kings!!) and to encourage people to vote on Tuesday Nov. 3rd. A limited number of signs will be available to borrow.
We will have a 4-pronged march starting at 10am, followed by a rally program/visibility in front of the Historic Exeter Town Hall that starts at 10:30am and concludes at 12 noon.
The start locations for the march are:
(1) 10 Chestnut Street
(2) Main Street School, 40 Main St
(3) corner of Portsmouth Ave & Alumni Dr.
(4) corner of Court St. & River St. extension.
Parking: On the street, or public parking near Me & Ollie’s (for the rally/visibility in front of the town hall).
While we in NH cannot vote early, thanks to sustained efforts over the years to keep people from voting, we can all vote either in person or absentee. (Make sure you’re registered to vote!) Voting is the most powerful form of resistance. It’s a way to stand up to broken promises about lower costs, rampant corruption, weaponization of our own government against us, and the ongoing attacks on our rights and freedoms.
**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
