**Democracy depends on Voting!**
Join our celebration of voting and help make this the largest early-voter turnout in history! We’ll gather on the sidewalk at this busy intersection with signs encouraging people to vote early, starting October 24, right down the street at the Malta Community Center.
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Our goal is to drive the largest early vote in history and connect people to election protection efforts. In the past, the focus was on large events. Now we need our message to be widespread! In order to reach more people than ever before we encourage you to attend one of the No Kings: Vote Early events in or near your town. Please check regularly to see if an event in your neighborhood has been listed.
**Early voting in New York starts October 24 and ends Nov. 1. Can we get as many people out on October 24 as possible? Let’s break some early voting records!**
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
