**On Oct. 17, the people of Boston will come together to defend democracy. Our message is simple: Your vote is your power. Make it count.**
For past events, the No Kings Boston Coalition has asked you to mobilize on Boston Common for huge rallies. This time, we’re asking **you** to do the organizing.
Sponsor a voter registration drive in your neighborhood. Host a Know Your Rights training.
Gather your neighbors to cast ballots at an early voting station — then return to celebrate democracy with a block party.
Decorate custom “I voted!” stickers. Set up an impromptu party outside an early voting station. Get into the spirit of creative resistance with an art activity or a protest music concert.
Help your community make a plan for what tools of nonviolent resistance you will use if our voting rights are threatened.
To align with the spirit of No Kings, keep your actions lawful, non-violent, and focused on the power of the vote. Within those parameters, you have creative freedom! We have lots of ideas to get you started at [nokings.boston](https://nokings.boston/).
Once you’ve planned your event, [register it on Mobilize](https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/c/no-kings-vote-early-/event/create/?utm_source=toolkit) to get it on the map and flag it [on our website](https://nokings.boston/) to access the No Kings Boston materials below.
**Why list your event with us?**
– Include your event on our No Kings Boston map (synced with Mobilize)
– Access No Kings Boston coalition assets like trifolds, stickers, a passport of actions and more
– Be part of our media advisory (for events registered by the week of 10/5)
– We may be able to help provide small amounts of funding depending on the action you’re organizing and what we are able to collect in donations.
– Get support from No Kings Boston Coalition organizers
**Not up for organizing your own action?** Check out the map on nokings.boston or right here on Mobilize and visit the activities happening around the city and across the state on Oct. 17! Wherever you go, take the time to cast your ballot — and make sure your friends and family do so, too.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
