About this engagement

No Kings: Vote Early! Annandale, VA, I-495 Bridge Brigade

Indivisible Sagadahoc will rally on the Sagadahoc Bridge in Bath at 10:00AM on Saturday, October 17, 2026, to encourage early voting. Please bring positive signs about voting and flags. We have signs, flags and water to share. The rally will start with a welcome and songs from our Indivisible Sagadahoc Chorus. We will then climb the Bridge for about 45 minutes to one hour. Once you have climbed to the pedestrian sidewalk of the bridge by ramp or stairs, you will notice orange and yellow vested marshals, who will help you space yourself on the bridge and keep a walkway clear for other walkers. We have been rallying safely on the Bridge for more than 16 months and expect this rally to be peaceful, but please let the nearest marshal know about any concerns. The rally will be held in any weather except lightning

Parking is very limited around the bridge. Please consider traveling by car with others. If you have folks in the car, you can drop them off at the event and go on to find parking. If you head up Commercial Street and head towards Washington Street, you will find space. Please park in legal spots. Be prepared to walk.

**We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.**

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.

Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.

Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.

*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*

*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*

Accessibility

Wheelchairs can be pushed up the ramp, but it takes real effort. If you are disabled and can’t get to the bridge sidewalk, please join us at the table at street level and give us a hand.
