We’ll have our Honk & Wave from 10:00 – 10:50 AM, then we’ll march from Portland & Main, down Pleasant St. to the Oxbow, where we’ll have refreshments, raffles, sidewalk chalk kits, and a non-partisan, family-friendly Mini Voter Information Fun Fair.
VOTING IS OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT – and we are going to use it.
We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.
Our VOTE is our VOICE, and every voice matters – so speak up and VOTE! Let’s make this election ‘too big to rig’.
We want to send a very clear message: We are done with forever wars!
We are done with the billionaire class, their insatiable greed and behaving as though they are above the law. They get tax cuts; we lose our health care. They get billions in no-bid contracts; we get tainted food, medicines, water, and air.
They get access to our National Parks and National Forests to steal the assets that belong to We the People – while every aspect of our lives is behind a paywall, making us poorer and the billionaires richer. Billionaires strip away our right to privacy; they steal our data to target us, sell us out, and make themselves richer.
Let’s loudly and clearly say WE THE PEOPLE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
We are turning people power into voter power.
Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and to make our voices heard.
On October 17th, join us and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.*
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
