________
For over a year, millions of people have come together to send a clear message: in America, we have no kings. Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power.
Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it’s a day of voter participation:
Early Voting Rally: 9 AM – 11 AM
We’ll be rallying at the parking lot in front of Tullahoma High School. Bring signs encouraging people to vote, and to vote EARLY! Early voting will run from October 14th to October 29th. Let’s remind our community to use their most powerful right: the right to vote. Please leave negative signs at home. Signs about voting, unity, positivity, democracy, and putting People Over Politics are welcome. During the rally, our volunteers will be talking with attendees about the door knocking phase of the event which will start at 11 am.
Vote Early Door Knocking: 11 AM – 1 PM
After the rally, we will put our people power to action by door knocking in neighborhoods around Tullahoma, to encourage folks to vote early. It is activities like this that will have a profound impact on the election. Attendees will be given simple instructions, and can be paired with experienced door knockers if needed. Bring a snack! After the door knocking, attendees are encouraged to swing by Ole Shed Brewery for a celebratory beer and to discuss the experience!
No one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in Tullahoma and local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no kings.
