Initiative for Democracy is hosting another No Kings rally to encourage voting early. The Edgewater community is invited to participate. This is our 4th No Kings rally out along N Sheridan Road.
There will be a lot of seniors, some with assistive devices, but all are welcome.
Let’s have another peaceful* protest. PLEASE stay out of streets and walkways. Please emphasize voting early and refrain from mentioning candidates.**
*No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.* *
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
